There is nothing quite like being in the same room as forty marketing professionals who all share a common goal and who want to work together to achieve something greater

Hampshire’s Top Attractions is a marketing consortium of over forty attractions in Hampshire, working together to achieve a greater marketing reach.

Established by in 2007, Jo Andrews has been involved with the group since the beginning, focusing on collaborative marketing and raising the profile of Hampshire as a visitor destination. The group is run as a membership association who meet regularly to discuss strategy, planning and to share industry news and work together on industry issues.

The Aim

The Marketing Collective’s aim is to develop and manage the marketing strategy, planning and creative marketing campaigns on behalf of the group.

Our Objectives

To increase membership annually thus increasing shared marketing budget.

Produce, print and distribute 380,000 leaflets each year with a distribution campaign outside of Hampshire.

To content manage the destination website, oversee SEO campaigns, social media and email marketing.

To manage and deliver successful PR campaigns liaising with regional and national press.

Our Approach

The success of the group has been a result of the recognised collaborative benefits to attractions within the tourism industry. Our relationships across Hampshire with attractions, accommodation providers and transport companies ensures that the group is inclusive and is recognised as one of the major destination brands.

We work with the highly recommended suppleirs to ensure campaigns deliver high results. Our online work and parterning with Visible Digital resulted in a 121% increase in website traffic and an email database of over 27,000.

We manage integrated advertising campaigns targeting families and visitors to the South Coast ranging from family magazines to online advertising on destination sites New Forest, Visit Portsmouth and Hamble Valley.

Through a number of PR campaigns we have established Hampshire’s Top Attractions as a key destination brand. We have relationships with a number of local, regional and national media and work with them on a number of campaigns and competitions to promote the group. Our PR activity has included: A Twitter treasure trail and Photo competition, Advertorial and features with Hampshire magazines and radio, Visitor Newsletters and updates.
