Embedded As The Off-Site Marketing Team To Grow Visitor Numbers
Battersea Park Children’s Zoo
THE CHALLENGE
Same family as New Forest Wildlife Park and same starting point in April 2023: no in-house marketing team, no strategy, heavy reliance on print advertising that couldn't be tracked or targeted, and no email marketing. As part of the wider family business, Battersea Park Children's Zoo needed the same close attention as its sister site, without the resources to build a marketing function of its own.
WHAT WE DO
The same embedded model as New Forest Wildlife Park, running since April 2023: a full marketing audit, a strategy and delivery plan, then The Marketing Collective as the dedicated off-site marketing team (website, paid media, PR, email and content), working alongside the on-site team, who continue to lead on the personal, animal-led social content while TMC focuses on the commercial posts that drive bookings. A new website, a new video commissioned specifically for BPCZ, and PR relationships that have delivered national coverage, including BBC London.
THE RESULTS
Social impressions up 108% year on year, reaching 4.05 million in the first half of 2026 alone (Instagram up 130%, Facebook up 120%)
Social interactions up 160%
Instagram followers up 34%
Website sessions up 24%, with a 14% rise in keeper experiences booked online
Email list grown to 3,544 subscribers, up 33% since December
49% scroll-stop rate on UGC Meta Ad campaigns following new creative strategy
